Voorhees, New Jersey, April 23, 2005: My brother and I at our Passover Seder. Yes, that's Adam, for those of you who saw him a year ago when he only reached my shoulders.

Mount Laurel, New Jersey, April 26, 2005: Ugie came to visit me from Washington D.C.; we caught up on old times, visited former haunts, and had an altogether blast!

Paris, France, March, 2005: My good friend from New York City recently moved to Valencia, Spain, and she came to visit me for a week in March! Here Kristin and I are on top of the Cannes Film Festival's headquarters, where Matthieu was working, over in the 7th arrondissement. Now, of course, Matthieu's down in Cannes mingling with celebrities on the red carpet. Meanwhile, I'm here visiting New Jersey!

Paris, France, March, 2005: We walked up to Montmartre from Pigalle, and tried to find all the locations of the film Amélie Poulain on the way up. Here Kristin is in front of monsieur Collignon's épicerie: Où et Quand?

Paris, France, March, 2005: We came across a cow-spotted Vespa in Montmartre. With a cow-spotted umbrella to go along, the photo was irresistible!

Paris, France, March, 2005: It was Good Friday, and after sitting with a breathtaking view and taking in all that Montmartre has to offer, we decided to go to the Sacré-Coeur.

2004 Family Christmas in Western Europe...

Les Champs Elysées on a typically Parisian day.

Brugge, Belgium, December 29, 2004: The family and I in Brugge's charming town square.

Brugge, Belgium, December 29, 2004: Ahh, Brugge...the Venice of Belgium!

Paris, France, December 27, 2004: A wonderful family photo from the Trocadéro.

December 31, 2004, Geneva, Switzerland: Dara and I about to drive across Switzerland, taking in one last view of Geneva's famous fountain.

Crans-Montana, Switzerland, December 31, 2004: Welcome to ski heaven (or hell, depending upon whether or not you know how to ski once you reach the mountaintop...). This was our balcony view.

Crans-Montana, Switzerland, December 1, 2005: Dara on the balcony in ski clothes, right before we went up the mountains to ski. Let's identify 'up': once there, one looks halfway down the mountain and sees clouds. Unfortunately, I never learned how to ski, let alone how to stop. The first six seconds went well on the peak, until my speed doubled and then tripled. I thought it was normal, so I hunched down and took in the thrill...

Crans-Montana, December 2, 2005: And then, of course, the French snowboarder came across my path. Although I managed not to break any bones, I decided to sit the second day out. Note Dara is in her ski garb in this Swiss gondola and I'm just in it for the fondu.

Crans-Montana, Switzerland, December 2, 2005: One example of *halfway* down the ski slope. Note that I am at cloud level, descending the Swiss Alp *in* the gondola (an approximate eighteen minute lift)!
